Green Hope School image

The original Green Hope School, less than a mile down the road from the present Green Hope High School, was a small rural school established in 1927. The school was home to 200 students in grades one through twelve, and was the first accredited rural high school in Wake County.

Dr. Paul’s parents, George and Wilba Beavers, both had connections to Green Hope School. George’s father, George Sr., served as the first principal of Green Hope School. Wilba served as a teacher. In their memory, Beavers Family Dentistry offers a scholarship to a graduating senior at Green Hope who plans to attend a NC Public University or Community College.
